Participation to the AFD initiative:  Adapt’Action

Good news: summer is (finally!) arriving and we are starting to work on a very exciting project!

As part of two consortia, led by Stantec and Artélia, we will start to work on the Adapt’Action facility, funded by the French Development Agency (AFD). The programme is aimed at supporting 15 countries - mainly African, least developed countries and SIDS - identified as particularly vulnerable to climate change.

In this context, an operative, methodologic and institutional support is expected to be provided through different missions, to improve the climate change policies of the beneficiary countries.

Priority is given to Climate Change Adaptation, an aspect for which most of these countries have expressed a special need. The purpose is to allow countries developing their own projects to tackle climate change.

Broadly, the programme is structured around 3 main axes with the aim to create a leverage effect. Our contribution will be focused on Components 2 and 3, i.e.: “Declining NDCs in one to two sectoral public policies” and “Conducting pre-feasibility, feasibility, vulnerability or technical and financial studies for one to three "climate" programs and projects”.
