Adelante is supporting FIIAPP in the development and improvement of implementation procedures through EU Delegated Cooperation modality. In the framework of this assistance, technical advice and training sessions about management of Service Contracts have been delivered to FIIAPP staff. In this context, in view of such a technical and complex issue, the challenge is how to transmit useful information to the staff while making it ‘sexy’ and enjoyable. In this sense, the team chose a very participative approach focused on needs and competences that the staff could retain and put in practice in their daily work. Contracts are more than simple procedures. This is why training sessions went beyond how to fill up the templates. The management of Service Contracts requires: 1) reinforcing technical competences: knowing the procedures; 2) working on personal & soft skills: communication tools between a complexity of actors; 3) understanding Development Aid framework: Result Based oriented actions.
