Our contribution to the EU Project Preparation Facility in Serbia

Adelante has been contracted by the German Development Agency, GIZ, to carry out capacity building activities for Serbian officials working for the Ministry of European Integration, as part of the EU Project Preparation Facility.

Our contract foresees the delivery of seven trainings sessions in Belgrade and Valencia, to reinforce different aspects of the participants’ capacities (training, project management, sectoral approach, etc.), to comply the requirements of some of the four specific objectives of IPA II programme (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance).

As part of this assignment, 4 Trainings of Trainers’ sessions have been delivered to 27 Serbian officials in Valencia, between April and July 2019. To this end, we have mobilized a dedicated team of three experts from our network who have used a participative and interactive approach including exercises, brainstorming, definition of clear objectives and a mix of training methods.

As a result, the participants improved their skills as trainers and assessed positively the new technique introduced.

In September our teams will be in Belgrade for two trainings on Budget Support and Project Cycle Management.
